Registration Information

Class Schedule

Classes are based on level and age. Class space is limited. All basic combination classes consist of Ballet and Tap. Tot II classes are for children who have completed a Tot I class and include Jazz. Ballet is a requirement for students of all ages unless you are just interested in Hip Hop. Pointe is by referral only.

If you have a child who finished out the 2009-2010 season, you have been given a recommendation into which class or classes your child is best suited. If you are new to the studio or you didn’t finish out the last season, you will find the information at the bottom of our schedule page useful in choosing your class or classes. You may also phone the studio for guidance in this area. Remember, teaching dance is our area of expertise and our recommendations are made in the best interest of the student. It is best to follow our advice.

Registration

To register for classes you must request a 2010-2011 Studio Policy Guide and Rates Brochure by e-mailing your name and address or phoning the studio. Registration is then accepted in person or through the mail. First and last months tuition plus the registration fee is due upon registering and then tuition is due the first week of every month there after. Class space is limited.

Class Observation

The instructors at The Turning Pointe like to open the observation windows the first week of every month during class to give the parents a sneak peek at what’s been going on in the studio. However, the windows will not be open all the time. We still feel that our students learn best with minimal outside distractions.

Performance Opportunity

Part of the dance training process includes learning through performance. Our year-end recital will be held in June. This performance is not mandatory, but we encourage all students to participate.

Healthy Atmosphere

The Turning Pointe Dance Centre concentrates on teaching dance inside the studio, but we also make a conscious effort to maintain a healthy atmosphere outside the studio. The Turning Pointe Dance Centre is a no gossip zone. If you have something to say, or a question to ask, take it to the director, otherwise, keep it to yourself, or take it down the road! We teach in a positive setting, if our atmosphere remains healthy, we then know your kids remain healthy.
